Missing Michigan woman found alive over the weekend

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A woman who went missing last Thursday in Mason County, Michigan, was found alive Sunday.

The Mason County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) released drone video showing the moment the woman was spotted.

Officials say deputies responded to a report of a burned vehicle Sunday, and discovered it belong to the missing woman.

A search immediately began and that's when she was found lying on the ground beside a log about 150-yards from her vehicle.

According to officials, she told deputies that she got lost and turned onto a long private driveway, and as she was trying to turn around, her vehicle broke down an caught fire with all of her belongings, including her cellphone, still inside.

The woman said she became so cold Thursday night, she was unable to stand back up Friday morning, forcing her to stay in the same location until rescuers arrived Sunday.
